During WWI Norman Wilkinson, a British artist and naval officer, created Dazzle Camouflage.  German submarines were sinking nearly 8 British submarines a day using torpedoes.  Wilkinson proposed that the ships could be painted “not for low visibility, but in such a way as to break up her form and thus confuse a submarine officer as to the course on which she was heading.”  The ships were painted in bright colors and crazy patterns.

I gave my students a worksheet with questions about a Mr. Bean video.  The class was canceled 10 minutes after it started so I had the students pass back their blank worksheets.
